A small group of friends and family partnered to create a lively, fun place to gather and enjoy delicious food and drink in the company of friends and neighbors. 

 

Rooster Creek is a full-service restaurant with a modern bar, and several flat screen televisions throughout. We strive to offer a variety of quality menu items in a comfortable, family-friendly atmosphere.

 

Located in the historic Village of Arroyo Grande, we are entertained daily by the not-so-distant crows of the local hens and roosters  who make the banks of the creek their home.  For as long as anyone can remember, the chickens have been wandering free in the village. Quite often they can be seen stopping traffic as they cross Branch Street,  leaving us to ponder the age-old question:

 

"Why did the chicken cross the road?"

 

It is with great affection that we named our tavern Rooster Creek.  You're sure to find many tributes to our fowl friends in the shops and boutiques in the village. Join us on Saturday afternoons, and enjoy our local farmers' market in Olohan Alley near the swinging bridge. The market is open every Saturday, rain or shine. Our local farmers offer quality seasonal fruits and vegetables, local artists have their works on display, and the musical entertainment creates a lively atmosphere. 

 

The beautiful Central Coast of California has so much to offer.  Our wine list features several of our regional vintners, but we encourage you to get out and visit our local wineries to experience the beauty of the vineyards firsthand.  Our location lends itself to being the perfect start or end to your SLO County wine tasting excursions.
